Steffans Legal Wins Appeal in Mileage Reimbursement Case

As written about here, Steffans Legal and Fair Work P.C. recently secured class certification in a case relative to an employer’s failure to reimburse employees for transportation expenses at the IRS rate. The employer in that case appealed that decision. On December 23, 2022, the Massachusetts Appeals Court re-affirmed the trial court’s decision to certify a class in this case and denied the employer’s argument that a class was not appropriate and that the IRS rate could be used to establish damages in a mileage reimbursement case.
